Desk lamp · pressed fibre, cork, steel
A lamp that leans toward your page. The shade is pressed from recycled paper pulp and weighs 90 grams; the cork base keeps it from sliding. 14 prototypes, one final angle.
Kitchen handle study · clay to injection mould
Five rounds of clay models tested by thirty hands, including arthritic ones. The fourth shape won; the fifth shipped with a softer neck.
Carafe and tumblers · mouth-blown glass
Fine vertical ribs that catch light and hide fingerprints. Designed with a glassworks that wanted a second collection to run in the quiet season.
Repairability notes
Six parts, one hex key, no glue. Every component can be replaced by the owner in under five minutes.
I sketch for a day, then make something with my hands, always. Clay, card, foam, whatever is nearest. A rough model answers questions a screen never will. I bring in manufacturers early, because the best constraint is a real one.
